We only recently launched our New HYROX Doubles Team feature and already saw some exciting validation this weekend at HYROX Perth.
Two 2025 HYROX Elite 15 athletes, Jess Pettrow and Joanna Wietrzyk, teamed up for the very first time. Our new predictive model calculated an expected finish time of 0:54:19, a mark that would have set a new world record.
“Expected” in this case means a 50% probability based on everything we know from both athletes’ past performances, even though they had never raced together before.
Come race day, they threw down, setting a new world record at 0:54:24, only 5 seconds off our prediction!
